Zenobia Lee Green was born on August 5, 1930 in Uniontown, Alabama to Arthur Black, Sr. and Mary Lee Black. 

Zenobia accepted Christ at an early age.  Her love was her biggest strength throughout her entire life.  She instilled this in all her children and grandchildren.  Her love for her family was absolute. 

Zenobia graduated form Perry County Training School.  She attended Alabama A&M, where she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  She moved to Indianapolis and attended Madame C. J. Walker School of Cosmetology and later established a beauty shop in her basement.  

Zenobia was a teacher for Head Start and she also worked for the Butler Tarkington Neighborhood Association.

Zenobia  married Rick Hyde and to this union John Dewayne was born.  That marriage dissolved and she married Charles Patterson, Sr. and to that union Keith, Charles, Jr. and Lance were born.  That marriage also ended in divorce and she went on to marry Theodore Green, Jr. and that union Delicia, Theodore, III and Nancy were born.

Zenobia enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and cooking.  She was  active with the 49ers Club, Alpha Chi Pi Omega, Delta Chi Delta Chapter (beautician sorority/fraternity), The Ladies Auxiliary Court #109.  She loved to play Scrabble and she often came up with some       interesting words that only she was familiar with.

Zenobia  leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Keith Patterson, Lance  Patterson and Theodore Green, III; daughters, Delicia Brooks (Harvey, Jr.), and Nancy Green; sisters, Elizabeth Young and Odessa Early; grandchildren, Joshua Green and Jazmin Collins, Arianna Brooks, Emmanuel Brooks, and Anise Brooks; great-grandchildren, Corey Hicks and Kamaya Moss and a host of other family and friends.
