Mrs. Sallie Brewer Dancy (Mrs. Dancy), the daughter of Mr. Burrell and Tonchie Bell was born of May 29, 1924 in Picker County, Alabama.  At the age of 19 she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana.

Sallie accepted Christ at a young age and attend Westside Nazarene and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker who took excellent care of her family.  She went above and beyond to make sure that her children, family, and friends were well taken care of.

On January 1, 1955 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Lee Dancy, Sr. Together they shared many years of marital contentment and happiness.   

Mrs. Dancy was not only a good mother to her children she also cared for many other family members and friends.  She was a beautiful  person. She loved her plants and garden. She was also a good cook and worked at D&C Pizza folding pizza boxes and prepping produce.  She loved her root beer, bananas, watermelon and fish on Friday.  She even started drinking Pepsi about a year ago.

Her smile and presence were sure to brighten anyone’s day.  She leaves many memories that will last a lifetime.  In her words she would say, “I am alright, are you ok?”, with a smile that will last a lifetime for anyone that knew her. 

Mrs. Sallie Brewer Dancy (Mrs. Dancy) went to her eternal rest on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Northwest Manor Health Care at the at of 95. She would have been 96 years old on May 29, 2020.  What a blessing!  Heaven is waiting for her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Dancy, Sr.; daughters, Eula Dancy Webster, Diane Dancy Scruggs and Maggie Dancy; and son, Johnnie Dancy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Joseph Henley (Jean), Willie Dancy, Sr. (Janice), Donald Dancy (Minnie), Joanne Dancy Conrad (Gregory), Annie Dancy, Arthur Dancy (Cathy), and Joe Dancy; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

My condolences to the family, Mrs. Dancy is resting in Heaven. She lived a long good life and was loved by so many. She will be missed but never forgotten. She left footprints on my heart. I love you family. Take care and love one another..

Grandma, u really gone huh... I'm so hurt 😒 I am also blessed because I had u almost 35 years. Our relationship was one of a kind and nobody can take that away. I'm gone miss u, I mean I'm gone REALLY miss u. We had our ups and downs but mainly ups and I love every moment I had wit u. U were the best grandma a girl could ever have. U meant and still mean so much to me. U jus don't know how much u hurt me... I mean u cut me deep "Sallie"! OMG, ur gone, I'll NEVER get to laugh at or wit u. Who's gonna ask me a 100 questions back to back... who's gonna how many men I got now, lol. Boah, I can say, u lived ur life and u did that girl! DAMN, my heart ache so bad right now. We'll, I guess my mom's and snooks can have u back now 😒😒 I got no choice but to let u go, I'm so angry... I couldn't tell u goodbye face to face. My prayers is with the dancy family your cousin Joyce from Muskegon Michigan we love you guys and praying for you, take care and be blessed. We know you loved your mother and grandmother, but God loved her best. She's resting in the arms of God in peace. For we know joy comes in the morning.

Grandma πŸ‘΅πŸΎ you were truly a blessing, you will always stay deep in my heart. You look so beautiful laying in your new bed. There is not enough words to express how I feel about you. We had so many good times. I cannot think of one bad time we ever had You’re absent from us, but now present with the lord. I love living knowing you were forever great to me and all the other ones in the family. Your memories will live forever in me. I will not forget one moment. I love you grandma. I love you gma until we meet again.
