Robert Eugene Williams, affectionately known as Bobby”, was born February 8, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to James and Bernice Williams.

Bobby was a high school graduate and worked a career in construction and dry walling. He was promoted to dry wall supervisor at Service Dry Wall where he retired in 2012 after working with the company for 10 years.

Bobby married Jean in 1982 and they remained married until his death. Bobby was a quiet and gentle spirit whose passion lied in his love for family. He would do anything for anyone who needed it.

Bobby loved sports especially basketball and football and was an avid fan of the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. By his family, Bobby will be remembered for showing off photos he had acquired over the years or snapping a camera at family functions.

Bobby tragically lost his daughter, Latonya Williams in 2003; she and her daughters, Lanay and Marlena remained in Bobby’s heart.

Bobby had professed a belief and hope in Christ later in his life and has gone on to be with the departed family who he so loved.

Bobby departed this life on April 24, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, and three sisters, Mary, Elnora, and Patricia.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jean Williams; three children, Tawanna Bentley, John Lee Fifer, Jr. (Marie), and Tony Fifer (Tarhonda);  two sisters, Brenda Booker and Carolyn Williams; four brothers, James Williams II, Frank (Tim) Williams, Donald (Denise) Williams, and Anthony Williams; 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
