Sharon K. Lane, the daughter of Arnold H. Wooden, Sr. and Marcella Pullins Wooden, was born March 11, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the eldest of five children born to this union and was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Derrick Harris.

Sharon K. Lane was educated in the Indianapolis Public School System at School #69 and Shortridge High School.  Sharon accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church under the pastorage of Elder Vaughn.

Sharon was industrious and hard-working in nature.  She prided herself in working numerous jobs, which eventually led to her retirement from Federal Mogul in 2009.

On February 15, 1976, she married Michael Lane, Sr., and together they shared one son, Michael Lane, Jr. Sharon, also known as “Kate”, loved to spend time with her family. At any given day, you could always find her with her sister, Karen, shopping at local malls and garage sales. Restaurants knew the two by name because they loved to eat during their outings. She loved to travel, whether it be to Las Vegas with her husband, or relaxing with her family in Florida. Her favorite past time was decorating; specifically, with her favorite colors: orange and lime green. These colors alone help to speak to her vibrant and loving personality. In addition, she loved spending time with her grandsons.

At the age of sixty eight years, Sharon K. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2020.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Michael Lane Sr.; son, Michael Lane Jr.; sisters, Karen E. Wooden-Smith (Gary); Terri L. Wooden; brothers, Arnold H. Wooden Jr. (Perla); Tony L. Wooden. Grandsons DeSean Lane, Michael Lane III and Chance Lane and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
