Marguerite L. Graves was third born of six children to Joseph and Ella Graves. Marguerite known to many as Margo “The Little Lady” was very outgoing, stylish, a visionary and Civil Rights Activist, which included her marching with the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Marguerite  was of Crispus Attucks High School. She received her B.S. degree from Martin University and a Master’s Degree from Indiana Institute of Technology. Marguerite lived in Los Angeles many years, she was an avid traveler including trips to Africa, Paris and Mexico.

In the early 70’s, she co-owned Love Is” a Card and Gift Shop which was a subsidiary of Hallmark.  She was the founder of African Solar Solutions Inc. and Intercept Technology. She always encouraged us to DREAM BIG as she did and was considered to be a woman ahead of her time. We are grateful. She loved God and North Meridian Methodist Church where is a current member.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Nathaniel Graves and sister, JoElla Graves.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Barbara Coleman (William) and Sharon Wright (Daniel) of California; a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews; goddaughter, Phyllis Bonds and a host of friends.
