Bernard McFadden was born on February 27, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was the son of Theo and Mattie McFadden.

Bernard  was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School. He was a believer in God and was baptized at Buggs Temple Church of God in Christ at a young age.  He was employed as a cook for Danner Brothers Restaurant, and was a manager at Willis Garage.

Bernard  enjoyed playing basketball, both as a player/participant and as an avid spectator.  He was good with his hands and liked fixing things, joking around and making people laugh. He also loved his entire family, but especially his grandchildren.  Bernard was smart with a lot of wisdom.   People would talk to Bernard,  and he was always there to listen and assist. Bernard  loved to help people.

Bernard  was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Mattie McFadden, and his sister, Lola Ward.

Bernard McFadden departed this earthly life October 3, 2019, at the age of sixty-three years seven months and six days.  He leaves to cherish his memory his life long companion, Marita Fox; his children, Bernard McFadden, Jr., George E. McFadden, Thomas Fox, Ashley Fox, and Patrick Fox; his sisters, Janet (Arthur) Johnson, Fannie (Jay) Johnson,  Wanda (James) Seals, Bernell McFadden, Nellarine (Wayne) Davis, Annette (Earnest) Davis and Deborah Terrell; his brothers, Eugene (Mae Francis) Langdon and Charles (Earnestine) Langdon and a host of nieces nephews and other family and friends.
