Mr. Irvin Clifton ”Yardy” Johnson, Jr., the son of Irvin Clifton Johnson, Sr. and Marion Green, was born on June 1, 1943, in  Greenwood, Mississippi.

He received his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis  Public School System. He continued his education by obtaining his Associate   degree from Ball State University.

Irvin  professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Coppin Chapel A.M.E. Church.  Later he became a member of Phillips   Temple C. M. E. Church, where he served faithfully up until the time of his death.

Irvin was worked at Link Belt a few years before he became an  employee of Allison Transmission.  He worked there until his retirement. Irvin enjoyed boxing when he was a young man. He also liked playing cards and shooting pool with his family and friends. Irvin loved watching and   attending all  kinds of sports.  Irvin was a loving father who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Irvin Clifton ”Yardy” Johnson, Jr. departed this life on Friday, November  3, 2017, at the age of seventy-four years, five months and two days. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; sister, Pat Cook; brothers,  Joe Johnson and Albert Green.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Brittini Brown (Micheal); sons, Reginald Johnson, Eric Shannon, Chauncey Johnson (Andrea) and Jonathon Carter; sister, Judy Green; brothers, Robert Johnson and Ralph Green; nine grandchildren, Kiesha Johnson, Vakea Johnson, Eric Shannon, Jr., Shayla Alyx and Aaliyah Johnson, Navy Brown, Miya Williams, and Ka-von Carter, a host of other relatives and his many friends.
