Phelgar and the Washington family. Our family is saddened by your loss and you are in our prayers. She was a respected women and a pioneer in many respects. If Phelgar, whom I know well, is representative of her parenting skills, then we are all blessed for her counsel and guidance.

Dearest Family,
On behalf of those of us among Robert D. Mackel, Jr.'s descendants who are unable to be with you today, we send our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Lyvonne Mackel Washington's immediate and extended family members who are gathered to celebrate her exemplary life and legacy, as well as say goodbye. Please know that we are thinking of you with much empathy and love, and lifting you up in our prayers.

By God's grace, may this day unfold in a manner that exceeds your hopes and expectations, and we pray that, along with the tears that must fall, there will be many joyful memories that will encourage your hearts in the weeks and months to come. May God strengthen and bless you.
