Mr. Harold Edmonds, the oldest child of        Novella E.  Lowes  Edmonds and Harley Edmonds was born on September 19, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He received his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System.

Harold enjoyed and was artistically gifted in the field of Upholstery.  At the tender age of 16 under the   tutelage of Mr. Clifford Jackson he prospered in this craft.  In 1977, he became an entrepreneur and opened his own business “H. Edmonds Custom Upholstery,” which was successful and flourished until his retirement.

Harold  was united in Holy Matrimony to Peggy Doris Jones on December 17, 1976.  His wife preceded him in death on Saturday, August 30, 1997.

Harold was an excellent provider for his family; a caring and generous grandfather; a fun and loving great grandfather, and a reliable friend to many.  Around the house, Harold  was a “handy man!”  He could fix just about anything!  He enjoyed hunting and fishing trips; gardening; cooking and baking; sports, jazz, shopping and fun-filled fellowship with his family.  Harold         enjoyed his life of eighty-four years to its’ fullest capacity!

Harold  believed in the importance of a personal    relationship with God and professed his belief in Jesus Christ at an early age.  He attended Phillips Temple CME Church and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at Mt. Zion Apostolic Church on June 11, 2007 by Bishop Lambert W. Gates, Sr.

Mr. Harold Edmonds went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the age of eighty-four years old.  His father, mother, wife, one son, and one daughter preceded him in death.

Mr. Edmonds leaves a legacy of love to his sisters, Bettie Rowe and Sandra Woods; brother, Harley Edmonds, Jr.; son, Mitchell D. Edmonds; daughters, Deborah Cook, Terry Jackson (Prentiss), Angela Weir (Richard), Rhonda Edmonds, Linda Williams (Arthur), Valerie Goliday (Tracy), April Edmonds, Michael Lewis and Natalie     Wilson (Malik); twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a great host of loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends.

To the family of Harold Edmonds, although we've never met the family personally, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences. Please know that God is the source of great hope for all us (Psalms 83:18). It is our prayer that He will bring comfort to the family during the times ahead. The Bible promises that Jehovah will bring an end to all sickness and death, (John 17: 3 & Revelation 21:3 & 4)…… May God’s son Jesus Christ, and Jehovah God himself, who loved us and gives everlasting comfort and good hope by means of undeserved kindness, comfort YOUR hearts”, bring you peace, and be your source of hope also. (2Thessalonians 2:16, 17)… (ezed1950@bellsouth.net)
