She was baptized at an early age as a member of West Point Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.

She attended Pisgah View Elementary, Clark Training High in Mary County, Tennessee and A & I State College in Nashville, Tennessee where she was Cum Sum Laude and a sorority.

Ernestine taught elementary school in Hampshire, Tennessee.  She met and married Eldridge Webster in 1946, and to this union eight children were born.

Shortly afterwards the family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana.  She quickly joined Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.  In 1964, she joined Mount Vernon Community Missionary Baptist Church where she organized the Jr. Choir.  In 1968, she served on the Sr. Usher Board and Gospel choir.  She was also the clerk/secretary for nineteen years for Rev. Mozel Sanders.

Ernestine was employed at Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance Center she retired in 1974, after being employed for more than twenty-three years service.

Ms. Webster was a giving person. She would rather give than receive.  She loved everybody no preference.   She thought good of everybody, young and old, loved all children.  She wanted to see all children do well and encourage them to do so.

Mrs. Ernestine L. Webster passed away on Friday, May 2, 1924 at the age of eighty-eight years, five months and twenty-three days.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eldridge Webster, daughter, Betty Doris Webster; son, Eldridge William and grandson, Corey Lamont Roney.
