Mr. Nathaniel Williams was born on October 2nd, 1962 to Charles Williams Jr. and Willa Byrd Williams in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“Nate” as he was affectionately known by many received his primary education at Indianapolis Public School #4 and #75, and later attended George Washington High School.  Nate eventually received his general equivalency diploma and culinary arts degree in which he used to work at several restaurants including Steak and Ale and MCL Cafeteria.

Nate was well known around the neighborhood, particularly King Street.  He could be depended on to help out with any job, big or small.  Nate was considered the neighborhood handy man and if not riding his bike, he could be found cutting grass, painting or completing a job for someone.  He took pride in his work, and if it was done right in your eyes he would leave you with his infamous “Holla, Holla!” while beating his chest.

Mr. Nathaniel Williams departed this life on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the age of fifty-one years, six months and twenty-eight days.  His beloved mother Willa Byrd-Williams preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted and loving father, Charles Williams Jr., stepmother, Jewell Williams as he affectionately called J-Bone; brothers, Donald (Denina) Byrd, Derrick Williams and Charles Williams III; sisters, LaJuanda Williams and Kimberly (Jesse) Williams; stepbrothers, Walter (Marlene), Lamont (Tracey), Donyell (Antrena), Antyon and (Kisha Meredith) and his dear sweet aunt, Mildred.  Nate also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and several friends that will miss him dearly.   I would be remised if I didn’t identify four people that were special to him Mildred Dorsey, Jewell Williams, Big Fellow and Cal-Cal.
