John W. Watson, I, was born to the union of William 'Sonny' Watson and Ernestine Crowe.  He was a self-educated man raised in the town of Owensboro, Kentucky.  He was recognized for his talents in interior and exterior decorating, which led to the opening of his company, ABA Interior/Exterior Decorating.  John was a self-made man with many talents. John also served active duty in the Air Force.
John was united in holy matrimony to Elizabeth 'Tiger' Watson on July 10, 1954, at Blessed Sacrament in Owensboro, Kentucky.  From this union, he was blessed with seven sons and two daughters.
John accepted Christ as his savior on December 24, 1953 and served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord with the St. Lawrence Parish in Indianapolis, Indiana.  It is here he served as a Minister of Hospitality.
John and Tiger moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1956, where he was employed with Pee Wee's gas station, Gus' Flower Shop, the Post Office, and lastly Ford Motor where he retired May 01, 1998.  In his leisure, John enjoyed doing yard work and watching good old fashioned spaghetti westerns.
John Watson, I departed this life on June 24, 2013.  He was preceded in death by his sisters: Willie Mae Wimsatt, and Magdeline 'Mildred' Wimsatt.
He leaves to cherish his memory: seven sons, John W. Watson II, Victor (Neal) Watson, Rory S. Watson, Marlon D. Watson, Lonnie O. Watson, Sr., Brian K. Watson, Sr., and Pierre L. Watson.; three daughters, Charlene M. Watson, Kathy L. Watson, and Janaye Nicholson.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandkids, and other loving relatives and friends.

To the entire John Watson Family. I worked with John while we both worked at Ford Motor Company. John was a good man to work with and a good friend. I will cherish the time and memories I have of John and I working next to each other.
The entire Watson Family are in my prayers today.
Miss you John....
