Mr. Andre Lamonte Lewis was born March 15, 1974 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roosevelt Lewis and Dorothy Coleman-Lewis.
Andre accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mount Paran Missionary Baptist Church.  On June 11, 2013, Andre recommitted his life to Christ by allowing his sister, Rev. Yvette M. Foreste, to lead him in his Confession of Faith. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
In 1996 Andre was united in Holy Matrimony to Jennifer Ward Lewis.  To this union two children were born, Aaron Michael and Airika Nychelle Lewis.  Andre loved his children and always told them the truth about life.  Aaron and Airika are his pride and joy.  This year, he was grateful to be able to witness Aaron graduate from Pike High School and to witness Airika graduate from Lincoln Middle School.  His desire was to see them succeed in life and to be successful and productive adults.
Andre was a proud 1992 graduate of Pike High School where he played in the Marching Band.  Andre also played Center for the Pike High School Varsity Football Team with which he was a Letterman.  The Pike High School Football Team was a close-knit family of young men that loved one another.  He attended Central State University in Wilberforce, OH and Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, where he studied Computer Science.  Later, he attended the Indianapolis Art Institute where he studied Culinary Arts.  Andre loved to cook and was very talented in the culinary arts.
Andre was the Founder and CEO of Crowd Control Entertainment. He loved music.  He became a much sought- after DJ, producer, and mixologist.  He co-wrote and produced many tracks for various artists; however, he was most proud of his own cds and mix tapes.  Using such monikers as DJ Precise, FanTabNYDO, NYDO, and D.J. Cookieman, he kept the music playing loud and long.  His music will live on through those that he helped and encouraged in the music industry.
Andre also worked for Globe Asphalting where he was a Machine Operator.  He honed his asphalting knowledge and skills from his father.  He worked side by side with his father in their own asphalting endeavors.  Always the jokester and comedian, Andre kept his crew laughing at his quick sense of humor and uncanny wit.  Many felt that he had missed his calling in life to be a stand-up comedian.  Nobody could make people laugh like Andre.  Everything and everyone was fair game.
Andre always believed in the underdog and he never met a stranger that did not become his friend.  He was a big man with a big heart.  He gave his all to those he loved and to the music that never left his life.  He will truly be missed by those that knew him.  He meant the world to the world that knew and loved him.
Mr. Andre Lamonte Lewis departed this life on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the age of thirty-nine years, three months, and four days.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Aaron Michael and Airika Nychelle Lewis; his beloved mother, Dorothy Coleman-Lewis, his loving father, Roosevelt Lewis; his sister, Rev. Yvette M. Foreste; nephew, Justin Jonel Foreste; niece, Lauryn Yvette Foreste, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
