Mr. Ferrell Howard League, was born July 7, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was the third child of the late Mr. Bailey Dewey League and Mrs. Frances League.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Drennan and one brother,     Bailey D. League, Jr.
Howard attended Public School #23 and Crispus Attucks High School graduating in 1945.  He was awarded an athletic scholarship from Texas College, Tyler Texas in 1945.  An honor student and an excellent basketball player.  Howard and his two buddies, Allen Sharpe and Weldon Beverly, made an extremely great contribution to the basketball team and to Texas College.  He was initiated on December 12, 1949 as member of Beta Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.  Howard is a graduate of Texas College majoring in business graduating in 1952. 
“Dead Eye” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. 
He enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball at the YMCA with the “Y” Big Five Team.  His acquired skills at an early age helped him become successful in his college career. 
Howard was employed by the Laborers International Union of North America for many years.  In 1990, he was recognized as a valuable and devoted supporter of the International Union for twenty-four years of loyal union membership. 
Ferrell Howard League departed this life on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the age of eighty-four years four months and four days. 
Ferrell Howard League is survived by two daughters, Terri (Jacques) Mullins of Farmington Hills Michigan and Josette League of California; son, Gary (Linda) Edwards of California; grandson, Jason Edwards of California; three granddaughters, Haley Mullins, Jonell (Jancy) League; nieces, Shirley (Ronald) Crowe-Massey; Patricia Crowe, Janet (Bruce) Thornton; nephews, Herbert Crowe, Jr., Clinton Nall of California; companion and caretaker, Gloria Jean Southers; caretaker, Elizabeth Seiegler, friend and caretakers Ronald Crowe, Sr. and Shirley Crowe-Massey many friends, family and church family.
