Worley V. Jones, Jr., was born on August 24, 1926 in Marianna, Arkansas to Katherine Ray-Jones and Worley Jones. 
He received his primary and secondary education in Marianna, Arkansas graduating from Morton High School. 
In 1952, Worley moved to Indianapolis, Indiana.  At an early age in life he confessed a hope for Christ and was baptized in Jesus Name and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost in 1966 at Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church. 
It was his joy to work in the church on the brotherhood ministry.  He also passionately drove the church van. 
On November 28, 1952 Worley was united in Holy Matrimony to Betty L. Hurst. 
Worley’s work history included serving in the United States Navy.  He served his country faithfully during World War II.  He received several ribbons and awards such as the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Bronze Star, American Area Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, Unit Commendation Ribbon and the Victory Medal.  He served at USNTC Treasure, California; NAS Moffett Field, California and USS Hopkins; USS LCI.   Worley went on to retire from the Department of the Army, Department of Transportation as a Civil Servant.  Worley was an outstanding father and committed husband. 
Mr. Worley V. Jones, Jr., departed this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the age of eighty-six years, one month and twenty-nine days. 
He is survived by his son, Jason D. Jones ( LaChele); three daughters, Charlotte D. Vaughn and Jennifer Johnson (Anthony); fourteen grandchildren, Jerrad Downey, Jacey Downey (Jamayla), Jason D. Jones, Jr., Jonathan Jones, Jacob Jones, Jennise Upchurch, Jay Michael Upchurch, Anthony Johnson, II (Monique), Ulysses Johnson, Keturah Johnson, Wendy Nobles (Michael), Nicole Johnson, LaKeysha Johnson and Myles Johnson; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister, Emily Coleman; three brothers, Robert L. Jones, Clarence Jones and Benjamin Jones (Bertha)  and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
