Mr. Ronald Willis Edwards (“Fuzz”), son of the late Richard and Ruby Edwards, was born on November 4, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana. His beautiful wife, Carolyn, preceded him in death.
Ronald received his elementary and secondary education through the Indianapolis Public Schools system. He went on to receive an Associate Degree in Accounting Technology from Ivy Tech State College.
Ronald was honorably discharged from the United States Army in November 1967. He was a proud Green Beret in the 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Division, serving in Germany and the Dominican Republic.
Ronald always took great pride in his employment responsibilities. One of the high points of his career was receiving an award from the United States Dept of Agriculture for his suggestion to automate the work-based budget system. His suggestion was implemented nation-wide. Along with the USDA, Ronald also worked for the US Postal Service, Allison Transmissions, Furrows Building and Supply, and Servitas, from which he retired in November 2011.
Ronnie enjoyed relaxing in the morning with a cup of coffee and the daily crossword puzzles. He also took great pleasure in watching sports, westerns and war movies, playing chess, and making home improvements. As can be witnessed by everyone–family, fellow church members, friends, even enemies–Ronnie  was a true “Grill Master”.
Ronald professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He later united with the Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church family where he was an ardent Sunday School scholar. He was a faithful and dedicated member of the Little Bethel Senior Usher Board.
On Sunday, September 9, 2012, the Lord called Ronald home to rest at the age of sixty-five years, ten months, and five days. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Edwards, Jr., and a sister, Roslyn Coe. He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, David (Felicia) Edwards and Carl (Tina) Rush; daughters, Kimberly (John) McMillin, Denise Edwards, Monica (Kevin) Shimer and Tiffany Chubb; sister, Regina Strong; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Dear Kimberly McMillin:
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father.
My prayers go out to you and your family.
There is a scripture that says earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. There will be memories that will come to remind you of the happy times you shared with your father. Some day you will remember them and smile.

God Bless You
