Mr. Jerry Wayne Jenkins, the son of Andrew Jenkins and Lennie Subblett Jenkins, was born October 14, 1948, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 

At the age of five, Jerry’s family relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana and here he resided for the next fifty-eight years.
 
He attended Indianapolis Public School No. 52 and graduated from Washington High School.

Jerry served in Vietnam and was a United States Army veteran.

Jerry was employed by the Indianapolis Housing Authority for over twenty-five years until he became disabled.

”T. C.” as he was  affectionately known, was a nice, friendly, outgoing person and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Mr. Jerry Wayne Jenkins departed this life on August 9, 2012, at the age of sixty-three years nine months and twenty-six days.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Andrew and Thurman Jenkins. 

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Antwane Divine, Jerry Jenkins, Jr. and Damon Jenkins; six sisters, Ann Fitzgerald, Jennie Sanders (John), Ella Jenkins, Trudy Alexander, Loretta Jenkins and Linda Smith; five grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
