Tranell Damon Abe Nash was born October 19, 1985 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Durant Nash and Mary L. Nash Tyler.

Tranell was baptized at Greater Elim Missionary Baptist Church and later attended New Direction Worship Center where he was an usher and played the drums.  Later in life Tranell converted and became an Hebrew Israelite and changed his name to El Nathan.

Tranell attended Indianapolis Public School #76, Guion Creek Middle School, Broad Ripple and Pike High Schools. Tranell loved sports and played football for Pike High School and the Indiana Pal Club.

He was born Tranell Damon Abe Nash and he grew into the  man he was created to be and became El Nathan, which means a gift from God. He focused the last years of his life mentoring young men through ~ letter writing campaign aimed at encouraging them to stay away from violence and crime.  His mission was to push them to be the best versions of themselves.  El Nathan knew he was called for a purpose bigger than himself, and in response to his calling he started "I AM Justice" and "More than a Conviction" platforms to shine light on social injustices and the people affected most by them.

Tranell departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the age of 35 years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Durant Nash; grandparents, Abraham and Lois Guyinn and O.D. & Idella Nash.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mary L. Nash-Tyler; stepfather, Mark Tyler; brother, Terence D. Nash; stepbrother, Quinton Tyler; nephews, Terence J. Nash, Omega D. Nash and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
