Norman Erroll Graves was born on February 18, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Norman Emerson Graves and Erma “Camille” Graves (Overbey) who both preceded him in death.

Norman made his confession of faith in Christ early in life and was a member of Witherspoon Presbyterian Church and later 25th Street Baptist Church.

Norman graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1966. He attended youth programs at Herron School of Art Design, studied quantum physics at Butler University, and studied IT/Computer Technology at IUPUI.

Norman worked as a Coach/Operator for Greyhound Lines, Inc. from 1999-2009 but most remember him as a Coach/Operator for the Indianapolis Metro bus company, now IndyGo, from 1973-1989. Norman was also a talented artist. He admired Salvador Dali’s style of Surrealism and patterned his own artwork after that style. Norman’s artwork was featured at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Norman had a brilliant mind and was a proud member of Mensa, an international organization for people with high intelligence quotient (IQ).

Norman loved science and was also a student of the Bible. His fascination with the cosmos, quantum physics, relativity and abstract thought resulted in his writing several scientific papers proving the existence of God and the origins of the universe.

Norman also loved Jazz and classical music, as well as building cities on the SIMS video game.

Norman leaves behind his children Pamela Staver (Graves), Brian Graves, Norman Graves, Jr., Ryan Graves and Camille Graves; beloved younger brothers, Donald Graves and Derek Graves; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. We will miss his intelligence, his wit, his love and his laughter. Rest well. Gone but never forgotten.
