Mrs. Zephyr Twyman, née  Acree, was born May 29, 1925, in Cadiz, Kentucky.  She was born to the union of Ben and Viola Pollard Acree.  She spent her early years in the rural Kentucky area.

Zephyr accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, was baptized at an early age and lived her entire life for the Lord.

On January 22, 1949, Zephyr and Robert Clay Twyman were united in Holy Matrimony.  Their union spanned over forty-five years and they were separated only by his death on October 1, 1994.  Zephyr  was a loving homemaker who truly made their house a home.  She enjoyed cooking —fried chicken was her specialty, and crossroad puzzles.  She looked forward to the visits from her family and their Summer visits and she was known to enjoy a cold Pepsi.

Zephyr and her husband were active member of the Mt. Helm Missionary Baptist Church for many years.  Her church activities included working in the Treasury Department.  She read her Bible daily and her husband was an   ordained Deacon at the church.  Together they participated in many activities over the years.

Mrs. Zephyr Twyman departed this earthly life on March 7, 2020, at the age of ninety-four years nine months and nine days.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Charlie Acree, Nathaniel Acree, Frances Acree, Roosevelt Acree, Early Acree, Pinkie Acree and Lucinda Acree; niece, Cheryl Acree and nephew, William Earl Acree.

She leaves to cherish her memory her nephews and nieces, Aaron Acree. Donald Acree, Alice Acree, Tyrone Acree, and her Indianapolis relatives, Betty Crawford, Betty’s daughter, Julie Alums and Julie’s daughter, Danielle Alums; god-children, C. J.
