Mrs. Charlotte Marceline Turner was born on May 8, 1931 to the union of Charles F. Powell Sr. and Helen Powell (Clay) in Indianapolis, Indiana.


Charlotte received her education in the Indianapolis Public Schools graduating from Crispus Attucks High School.


Charlotte accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and has been a member for over seventy-five years.


On November 18, 1950 Charlotte married the love of her life, Charles E. Turner and they were married sixty-nine years.


Charlotte worked for the downtown Indianapolis, L.S. Ayers Department Store retiring in 1975She had many talents, but she especially loved flowers, gardening, and taking care of her family.


Our beloved Charlotte departed this life on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the age of eighty-eight years old.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ricky J. Turner; siblings, Delores Powell, Marion Powell, Charles F. Powell Jr., Roger Powell, Richard Powell and Joseph Powell; five  grandchildren, Damon Coleman, Michael Coleman, David Kimbrough, Christopher Kimbrough, and LaKeisha Kimbrough.


She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Charles E. Turner; children, Tanya N. Turner (Sean Booker), Carl Turner, Janice Turner (Anthony), Denise Coleman, Patricia Peoples and step-daughter, Loretta Dorsey; sister, Helen Williams; grandchildren, Cecil E. Todd and Tamala Coleman, and a host of relatives and friends.
