   Mara A'Lynn StuartMara is the only child of Charles Eugene Quintin Stuart and Gladys Warner Stuart. Her father, a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over fifty years, formally incorporated Stuart Mortuary, Inc. with his parents and served as president and chief executive officer until his death in 2002. Mara is a life-long resident of Indianpolis. She was the first African-American female to attend Park-Tudor School, in Indianapolis. She Graduated from Cathedral High School in 1980 and attended one year at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and completed undergraduate courses at Butler University, Indiana University and Purdue University in Indianapolis. In 1982, she graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Mara began working at Stuart Mortuary, serving her apprenticeship, as a teenager, in 1982. She has worked full-time at Stuart Mortuary under the tutelage of her parents and her uncle, Joseph Stokes Stuart (1921-1999), who was also a licensed funeral director and founding funeral director at Stuart Mortuary.
