WILLIE SANFORD, III

Willie Uerl Sanford, III was born on August 6, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of the late Willie Uerl Sanford, II and Parthenia Honor.

Willie received his education in the Indianapolis Public School System.  He attended School #43 and graduated from Northwest High School in 1985. Willie confessed Christ at an early age at Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptiat Church, where his grandfather was the pastor.

Willie enjoyed helping others, DJ-ing “Swiss Will”, movies, listening to music, and telling jokes.  At church, he directed the choir, and he liked cooking and spending time with family.

Willie Uerl Sanford III departed this earthly life on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the age of fifty-six years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Uerl Sanford, II; grandparents, Rev. Wesley Manning and Mrs. Pearline Malone Manning, and Lottie Sanford, and nephew, Darien Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tonya Sanford;    daughters, LaToya Dorsey (Adrian), Charise Keith (Jason), and Latrice Stokes (Aaron); son, Alonzo Allen, III; three grandchildren, Alonzo Allen IV, Tommie Allen, and Harmoni Stokes; mother, Parthenia Honor; sisters, Linda Whitfield, Donna Murrell (Robert), Rachel Johnson (Kenny), Cynthia Dunlap, Sherree Pipes, Patricia Sanford, Chloe Sanford, and Alyana Sanford; two brothers, Victor Sanford and Ray    Green (Michelle); sister-in-law, Tawana Rogers; brother-in-law, Eric Watkins; mother-in-law, Gloria Houser, and a host of uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, many cousins, other relatives and friends.

Blessed are those who mourn,
