Ms. Lillian L. Russell Underwood was born on July 16, 1953. She was the seventh of thirteen Russell children born to John Walter Russell and Louise Manley Russell.
Lillian received her primary and secondary education in the Wayne Township School District.
At an early age in life she professed a hope in Christ and was baptized at the Westwood Baptist Church.
“FeeFee” childhood was filled with family gatherings and Sunday dinners.
In 1970 and 1973, she was blessed with her first two daughters.
She worked for some time at Lane Bryant before a seizure condition caused her to be a stay home mom.
In 1976, she married William “Bill” Underwood and they later were blessed with a son and a daughter. “FeeFee” devoted her life to taking care of her family.
Before the passing of her parents, she cared for them, and had three of her grandchildren in her care before her passing.
“Fee Fee” as she was affectionately called always kept an open door for anyone who needed it. Lovingly called “Granny” by her grandchildren, and still called, “Mommy” by her four grown children. “Fee Fee” spent her final day with them having Sunday dinner as a family.
Ms. Lillian L. Russell Underwood passed only a few hours after everyone had left for the evening on September 29, 2013. Fee Fee will always be loved and missed by her entire family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Lisa M. Taylor, Louise Williamson, William Underwood and Crystal Underwood; eleven grandchildren; sisters, Evon Russell-Diggs and Marsha Sanks; brothers, Charles Russell, Wayne Russell, Kenny Russell, Marcus Russell, Bernie Lee Russell, Keith L. Russell and Paul Russell.
